Turn on notifications

How Shiftaroo tells you a week was sent, a shift moved, or somebody needs cover.

Where to do it: Your phone, with the Shiftaroo app installed.

Step by step

   Install the app from the App Store or Google Play and sign in with your mobile number.

   The first time it asks, say Allow. That is the only time an iPhone lets the app ask.

3. 3

   If you said no, or can't remember: open your phone's Settings, find Shiftaroo, and turn Notifications on. On Android it is Settings, Apps, Shiftaroo, Notifications.

   Open Shiftaroo again. Under Me it says whether notifications are on for this phone.

   Add an email under Me as well. Every notice is emailed too, so you have a copy that stays.

Worth knowing

• Shiftaroo never sends the news by text. If notifications are off, you get at most one text a month saying Shiftaroo is trying to reach you, and a link to this page.
• Sign-in codes are the only texts that always come.
• Got a new phone? Sign in on it and say Allow again. The old phone drops off on its own.
• There are no reminders before a shift. Turn on the calendar sync under Me if you want one.
